DARKFIELD is not suitable for those under the age of 13. Individuals aged 13 – 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

RUN TIME:
SÉANCE: Allow 20 minutes, run time 16 minutes

FLIGHT: Allow 25 minutes, run time 22 minutes.

MULTIPLE SESSIONS
SÉANCE runs on the hour and half hour, FLIGHT on the 15 and 45 past.
Example of multiple session booking: SÉANCE 6:15pm, FLIGHT 7:00pm.

That allows for a drink at Maho Mini Bar or a quick toilet visit.

WHAT IS DARKFIELD ?

DARKFIELD is a collection of multi-sensory audio experiences that challenge the senses, exploring the depths of human psychology and perception. Each DARKFIELD experience takes place inside a custom-built shipping container and uses binaural audio, sensory deprivation and sensory effects to place the audience at the center of a narrative completely at odds with the space it occupies.

I AM RUNNING LATE, WHAT DO I DO ?

Try to get there as quickly as you can and speak with our team on the door - they will instruct you on where to wait for available seats. They can only fit you into one of the following sessions if they have spare seats and there are no other paying ticket holders. There's no guarantee and sessions are often full. Latecomer Policy: Please note that your tickets were valid for you session only, you are not entitled to a refund or exchange if you are late. Latecomers are not guaranteed a seat in another session. It is up to the discretion of the DARKFIELD team if there is availability on the same day as your event.
IS FLIGHT A PLANE CRASH SIMULATOR ?

No FLIGHT is not a plane crash simulator ehe experience explores the many worlds theory, as a journey using 360 ° sound, in complete darkness and effects in two worlds and two realities. The Many worlds theory envisions our universe as just one of numerous parallel worlds that branch off from each other.
HOW LONG IS EACH DARKFIELD EXPERIENCE ?

Run times vary depending on the container you choose: SÉANCE: Allow 20 minutes FLIGHT: Allow 25 minutes COMA: Allow 25 minutes EULOGY: Allow 35 minutes INVISIBLE: Allow 20 minuets
CAN I LEAVE ONCE AN EXPERIENCE HAS BEGUN ?

We kindly ask that patrons do not leave during the performance, as it is unsafe to move in the dark and can disrupt the performance for others. In the case of emergency, we will safely guide patrons to the exit.
WILL DARKFIELD EXPERIENCES BE VISITING OTHER CITIES IN AUSTRALIA ?

CAN I TAKE PICTURES OR RECORD THE EXPERIENCE ?

Photos and videos are encouraged while entering the experiences. Devices will need to be switched off before the show begins.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT ?

Age recommendation: DARKFIELD is recommended for ages 16+. Anyone 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No admittance to children under 13 or babes in arms.
CAN PREGNANT PEOPLE ATTEND DARKFIELD ?

You will experience a jolting chair movement in FLIGHT and SÉANCE. This experience may not be suitable for pregnant persons.
DO YOU ENFORCE THE AGE RESTRICTIONS AND OTHER WARNINGS ?

Yes, the warnings are in place for health and safety reasons. If you purchase a ticket and disregard the warnings, you will not be entitled to a refund.

GETTING HERE

Be sure to allow enough extra time - arrive 5 - 10 minutes early for check in.

The Queensland Maritime Museum is close to the Brisbane CBD in the South Bank Parklands and is easily accessible to all modes of transport.

We highly recommend public transport. There is no parking on site so arrive extra early if you drive.
